The Threeworlds Fusion Ultra Dragon Staff Hubs are pressure-fit dragon staff hubs designed for the Fusion system, combining a secure connection with the ability to quickly install or remove your hubs for travel, storage, and different staff configurations. Each hub accepts either 3 or 4 spokes, allowing you to customize the feel and configuration of your dragon staff.

Unlike permanently mounted hubs, the Fusion Ultra uses an expandable pressure-fit connector that inserts directly into compatible 3/4 inch ID (19 mm ID) staff tubing. Tightening the connector compresses the internal rubber bushes, causing them to expand against the inside of the tubing and securely hold the hub in place.

Pressure-Fit Fusion Connection

Each Ultra Hub uses a short Fusion Cam Bolt with 2 Fusion Nylon Washers and 2 Fusion Rubber Bushes alternating beneath the cam bolt. A D90 O-Ring sits at the base of the connector.

As the connector is tightened, the rubber bushes compress and expand outward against the inside wall of the staff tubing. This friction is what helps hold the hub securely in place while still allowing it to be removed when needed.

3 or 4 Spoke Configurations

Fusion Ultra Hubs can be configured with either 3 or 4 dragon staff spokes per hub. This gives you the flexibility to adjust the weight, visual profile, and overall feel of your dragon staff without changing hubs.

Easy Spoke Installation

Spokes are secured to the hub using 3 mm hex hardware, making installation and removal straightforward with a 3 mm Allen Key. This makes it easy to remove your spokes for transportation or swap between compatible fire, LED, and daytime setups.

Ultra vs. V3 Dragon Staff Hubs

The Fusion Ultra Hub is designed around the removable Fusion pressure-fit connector and fits compatible 3/4 inch ID (19 mm ID) staff tubing. Built for Collapsible Dragon Staffs

The removable hub and spoke system makes the Fusion Ultra particularly useful for travel and compact storage. Instead of transporting a fully assembled dragon staff everywhere you go, the hubs and spokes can be removed and packed separately from the staff body.

Just remember that pressure-fit connectors depend on friction. Keep the rubber bushes and the inside of your staff tubing clean, dry, and free of dust or oily residue so the connector can tighten properly.

Flow toys are props and tools used in flow arts, which is a movement based art-form that involves object manipulation. Flow props are extensions of your body and tools for self expression.

Despite being called “toys”, flow toys are meant for everyone and you will find that a majority of flow artists are actually adults! Contemporary flow arts include many modalities like dance, martial arts, or just “free-flow.”

The best flow toy to start with is the one that you’re most excited to learn. Although some props might be more difficult to learn than others, this differs greatly from one person to another. We found that the more excited you are to learn a specific prop, the more likely you will be to practice and learn quickly.

Stick props like dragon staff, contact staff, or spin staff can be easier for some since its a more static prop that you can hold onto. Rope props like poi and rope dart require more plane control at the beginning but are also much easier to travel with. Others like flow stars and pixel whips have their own kind of movements that don’t really fall into the other two categories we mentioned. But they’re super popular for ravers and festival goers!

We have a feeling you’ll end up owning more than one type of prop though so regardless of what your friend thinks is the best flow toy to start with, just get whatever you’re most excited to learn!

Fire dancing carries some inherent risks, but if you follow all of our fire safety instructions the risks are very avoidable. We recommend feeling super comfortable with a flow toy before lighting it on fire for the first time.

If you’re new to flow arts, we also recommend getting a daytime practice prop (or even LED prop) since you might be dropping your flow toy a lot when you’re first learning. The Kevlar on fire props can deteriorate much more quickly from repetitive drops, so practice props are ideal to keep them safe.

We have fire, LED, and daytime versions of most of our main props. Even if you can only afford one version and end up starting with a fire prop, they can be protected with wick covers. No matter what type you have, we recommend practicing on soft ground like grass to protect them as much as possible.
