The Flowbonacci Dragon Staff Heads & Plug Hubs Kit gives you everything you need to add a complete Flowbonacci daytime head system to a compatible dragon staff pole. Choose between the Original, Vortex, Tri-Ying, or Tri-Ying Legacy designs and transform your existing staff into a Flowbonacci dragon staff without purchasing an entirely new setup.

Flowbonacci’s Plug Hub system allows you to quickly attach or remove complete dragon staff heads without tools once the hubs are installed. Whether you’re packing up for travel, switching configurations, or heading out for a daytime flow session, the system makes setup and breakdown simple.

Choose Your Flowbonacci Dragon Staff Heads

Each Flowbonacci head design offers its own combination of weight, shape, and spinning characteristics.

  • Original: The classic Flowbonacci spiral design weighing approximately 9.88 oz (280 g) per head. Made from durable recycled plastic, its distinctive shape creates a mesmerizing visual effect while providing a balanced feel for everyday dragon staff spinning.
  • Vortex: The heaviest Flowbonacci option at approximately 11.64 oz (330 g) per head. Its recycled plastic disc-and-spiral construction creates a continuous vortex-like visual effect while increasing rotational inertia and gyroscopic stability for spinners who prefer a heavier setup.
  • Tri-Ying: The original Tri-Ying design and predecessor to the Tri-Ying Legacy. Available in limited quantities from our remaining inventory while supplies last.
  • Tri-Ying Legacy: The newest evolution of the Tri-Ying, weighing approximately 9.88 oz (280 g) per head. Developed through a year-long collaboration between Flowbonacci founder and engineer Fabio and a professional designer, its sculpted shape was refined to enhance rotational inertia, gyroscopic stability, and the floating effect associated with dragon staff spinning. The design is also particularly well suited for freewheel techniques and ground rolls.

Lifetime Warranty: All Flowbonacci Dragon Staff Heads are backed by a manufacturer’s lifetime warranty against breakage.

Flowbonacci Plug Hub System

The included Flowbonacci Plug Hubs are made from injection-molded rubber and designed to pressure fit over the outside of compatible dragon staff tubing.

Once the heads and hubs are assembled, the complete assemblies can be attached or removed by pushing the staff into the hubs or pulling it back out. This eliminates the need to repeatedly remove screws or disassemble individual components whenever you want to transport your staff.

  • Tool-Free Attachment: Install or remove complete dragon staff head assemblies without tools once the Plug Hubs are mounted.
  • Secure Pressure Fit: Injection-molded rubber creates a snug connection around the staff tubing.
  • Staff Compatibility: Designed for poles with a 7/8 inch (22 mm) outside diameter.
  • Head Compatibility: Works with Flowbonacci Original, Vortex, Tri-Ying, and Tri-Ying Legacy heads.
  • Daytime System: Designed specifically for Flowbonacci dragon staff heads and not compatible with fire spokes.
  • 2-Year Warranty: Plug Hubs are covered by a two-year manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase.

Why Choose the Flowbonacci Heads & Hub Kit?

  • Upgrade Your Existing Staff: Add Flowbonacci dragon heads to a compatible 7/8 inch (22 mm) pole without buying an entirely new staff.
  • Travel Friendly: Remove complete head assemblies for easier transportation and storage.
  • Multiple Head Designs: Choose between four distinctive Flowbonacci designs with different weights and spinning characteristics.
  • Easy Setup: Pressure-fit hubs allow quick attachment and removal once assembled.

Flow toys are props and tools used in flow arts, which is a movement based art-form that involves object manipulation. Flow props are extensions of your body and tools for self expression.

Despite being called “toys”, flow toys are meant for everyone and you will find that a majority of flow artists are actually adults! Contemporary flow arts include many modalities like dance, martial arts, or just “free-flow.”

The best flow toy to start with is the one that you’re most excited to learn. Although some props might be more difficult to learn than others, this differs greatly from one person to another. We found that the more excited you are to learn a specific prop, the more likely you will be to practice and learn quickly.

Stick props like dragon staff, contact staff, or spin staff can be easier for some since its a more static prop that you can hold onto. Rope props like poi and rope dart require more plane control at the beginning but are also much easier to travel with. Others like flow stars and pixel whips have their own kind of movements that don’t really fall into the other two categories we mentioned. But they’re super popular for ravers and festival goers!

We have a feeling you’ll end up owning more than one type of prop though so regardless of what your friend thinks is the best flow toy to start with, just get whatever you’re most excited to learn!

Fire dancing carries some inherent risks, but if you follow all of our fire safety instructions the risks are very avoidable. We recommend feeling super comfortable with a flow toy before lighting it on fire for the first time.

If you’re new to flow arts, we also recommend getting a daytime practice prop (or even LED prop) since you might be dropping your flow toy a lot when you’re first learning. The Kevlar on fire props can deteriorate much more quickly from repetitive drops, so practice props are ideal to keep them safe.

We have fire, LED, and daytime versions of most of our main props. Even if you can only afford one version and end up starting with a fire prop, they can be protected with wick covers. No matter what type you have, we recommend practicing on soft ground like grass to protect them as much as possible.

After you read the fire safety guide linked above and before lighting up you fire tool, please also read through our safety disclaimer.

We ship our products Monday-Friday from Los Angeles, CA, USA. Many of our listed products are ready-to-ship unless we have to assemble them, which can add a day or two to process. That being said, we ship out orders in the order they are placed within 1-2 business days (with some exceptions like holiday seasons).

Once shipped, we use USPS for orders in the USA and usually UPS for all international orders. Ground shipping in the US usually takes about 3-5 business days from shipping date, while priority shipping can be between 1-3 business days from shipping date. These are estimations and not guarantees as USPS might have delays, but reach out to us if you are looking for more specific time frames!

We can’t promise any specific shipping timeframes for international delivery as customs can cause many unforeseen delays.

Of course! We’re just a text, email, or DM away from being able to answer any question you have. All of our contact details can be found here or you can scroll down to find the buttons in our footer. We’re active on social media too so we are pretty easy to get a hold of!

This category includes Threeworlds Fusion components and modular staff hardware for collapsible contact staffs, dragon staffs, and spin staffs. You’ll also find Flowbonacci plug hubs, dragon staff heads, and other compatible staff components as we continue expanding our offerings.

We stock staff ends, collapsible handles, dragon staff hubs and kits (V3, Ultra, Plug Hubs), spokes, cam bolts, nylon washers, rubber bushings, connector hardware, and assembly tools. These parts are designed for building, maintaining, or upgrading modular staff systems with pressure-fit and collapsible designs.

Our goal is to make it easier to source Threeworlds Fusion components, Flowbonacci parts, and other modular staff hardware within the USA so you are not waiting on international shipping for small but essential pieces.

We are actively growing this category to support more collapsible staff models and dragon staff systems. If you do not see the specific component you need, reach out and we will help you track it down.

International Shipping: Import duties and taxes are not included in your order total and may be due upon delivery.
