The Threeworlds Fusion Collapsible Contact & Dragon Fire Staff Kit combines a full fire contact staff with removable dragon staff hubs and Bonobo Flow Fire Spokes, giving you two fire props built around the same collapsible staff. Spin it as a contact staff with fire wicks on both ends, or add the hubs and spokes to turn it into an 8 or 10 head fire dragon staff.

With fire at both ends of the staff plus your choice of 6 or 8 additional fire spokes, this is one of the most fire-heavy configurations in our collapsible staff lineup. It is heavier than a pure dragon staff, but that additional end weight provides greater rotational inertia and a planted feel during contact rolls. If your priority is maximum fire presence rather than keeping everything featherweight, you’re in the right place.

Two Fire Staffs in One

  • Contact Staff: Remove the dragon hubs and spokes to use the setup as a collapsible fire contact staff with 4″ Kevlar end wicks.
  • Fire Dragon Staff: Add 3 or 4 spokes to each hub for a total of 6 or 8 spokes. Combined with the two contact staff end wicks, this creates an 8 or 10 head fire dragon staff.
  • Collapsible Design: The Threeworlds Fusion pressure-fit system allows the staff to break down into three sections for easier transportation and storage.

Choose Your Dragon Staff Hubs

  • Bonobo Flow Hubs: Our most budget-friendly option and the heaviest of the two at 4.5 oz (128g) per hub. The two-piece clamp design allows the hubs to install directly around the staff below the end wicks, adding even more end weight and rotational inertia to an already substantial fire setup.
  • Threeworlds V3 Hubs: 7075 aluminum clamp hubs that install around the outside of the staff below the end wicks. V3 Hubs are lighter than the Bonobo Flow Hubs while retaining the versatility of a removable clamp-style system.

Both hub options accept either 3 or 4 spokes per hub and can be completely removed when you want to return the setup to a standard fire contact staff.

Bonobo Flow Fire Spokes

The included Bonobo Flow Dragon Staff Fire Spokes are manufactured specifically for Bonobo Flow and designed to be compatible with Bonobo Flow and Threeworlds dragon staff hubs.

  • Steel Cable Construction: Slight flexibility helps the spokes absorb impact from drops and hard landings.
  • Pure Kevlar Wick: Each spoke is wrapped with replaceable Kevlar wick for a substantial flame.
  • 7.5″ Long: Provides additional end weighting while keeping the fire positioned away from the central staff.
  • Serviceable Design: Wick can be replaced when worn rather than replacing the entire spoke.

Fire Contact Staff Ends

  • Construction: 7075 aluminum
  • Wick: 4″ pure Kevlar
  • Dual Purpose: Function as the two fire heads of the contact staff and remain in place as additional fire heads when converted into a dragon staff.

Staff Construction

  • Three-Piece Fusion Pole: Uses Threeworlds pressure-fit connections for quick assembly and breakdown.
  • Material Options: Choose between 7075 aluminum or carbon fiber to customize the weight and feel of your staff.
  • Grip Options: Available with Silicone, EPDM, or F-Grip.
  • Modular System: Built around the Threeworlds Fusion ecosystem, allowing compatible components to be changed or added as your setup evolves.

More Than Just Fire

The clamp hubs aren’t limited to fire spokes. Bonobo Flow and V3 Hubs also accept compatible Lumi LED Spokes and Spiral Dragon Claws, allowing the same contact staff core and hubs to be configured for LED or daytime dragon flow. Browse our Staff Components for compatible parts and additional setup options.

Performance Notes

  • Heavyweight Setup: End wicks, clamp hubs, and 6 or 8 fire spokes make this heavier than most pure dragon staffs.
  • Greater Rotational Inertia: The additional mass toward the ends creates a planted feel during contact rolls and helps carry momentum through rotations.
  • Maximum Fire Configuration: Choose 4 spokes per hub for 8 spokes plus 2 end wicks, giving you 10 separate fire heads on a single staff.

Contact staff when you want it, dragon staff when you want significantly more fire. And if 10 burning heads still aren’t enough for you, we may have reached the point where the staff is no longer the limiting factor.

Variations

Grip

  • EPDM: A synthetic black rubber grip that is durable, padded, and reliable in less-than-ideal conditions. It maintains traction in sweat, humidity, and dust, making it a strong choice for outdoor or extended sessions. It becomes more grippy with use. It may leave a small amount of black residue on your hands at first, but it washes off easily. Low maintenance overall, with a short break-in period when new. This is the lightest grip option.
  • F-Grip: A textured natural black rubber tube grip that combines key features of EPDM and silicone. It is easy to clean like silicone but maintains traction better in sweat or dirty conditions. It does not require a break-in period, so it feels consistent right away. Slightly less grippy than silicone in fully dry conditions, but more reliable once moisture is involved. A well-rounded option that performs in most environments and currently the most popular choice.
  • Silicone: High-temperature silicone tubing with a lightly textured surface for added grip. One of the tackiest options when clean and dry, making it ideal for controlled spinning. It is also the easiest to clean. A quick wipe with water or alcohol restores performance. It can lose traction when dirty or sweaty, so occasional cleaning helps maintain consistency.

Material

  • Aluminum 7075: One of the strongest commercially available aluminum alloys. Slightly heavier than carbon fiber and more budget friendly. The added weight creates a more stable, grounded feel during contact, which can help when learning. It is also more forgiving with drops, since it will typically dent or bend rather than break.
  • Carbon Fiber: Lightweight and very strong, making it a popular choice for performance-focused setups. The lighter shaft shifts more weight toward the ends, creating a stronger contact feel. It also has a more dynamic, responsive feel. Best suited for those who prefer a lighter staff and are mindful of their gear during use.

Length

  • Staff length should be around chin height. For most people, 1500mm (59″) lands right about there and is the most popular size. It’s a solid all-around choice if you’re unsure. If you want to dial it in further, check out our guide on choosing the right staff length. For this specific listing, you might wanna go longer than chin height since you lose some usable grip area because of the end wicks.

Flow toys are props and tools used in flow arts, which is a movement based art-form that involves object manipulation. Flow props are extensions of your body and tools for self expression.

Despite being called “toys”, flow toys are meant for everyone and you will find that a majority of flow artists are actually adults! Contemporary flow arts include many modalities like dance, martial arts, or just “free-flow.”

The best flow toy to start with is the one that you’re most excited to learn. Although some props might be more difficult to learn than others, this differs greatly from one person to another. We found that the more excited you are to learn a specific prop, the more likely you will be to practice and learn quickly.

Stick props like dragon staff, contact staff, or spin staff can be easier for some since its a more static prop that you can hold onto. Rope props like poi and rope dart require more plane control at the beginning but are also much easier to travel with. Others like flow stars and pixel whips have their own kind of movements that don’t really fall into the other two categories we mentioned. But they’re super popular for ravers and festival goers!

We have a feeling you’ll end up owning more than one type of prop though so regardless of what your friend thinks is the best flow toy to start with, just get whatever you’re most excited to learn!

Fire dancing carries some inherent risks, but if you follow all of our fire safety instructions the risks are very avoidable. We recommend feeling super comfortable with a flow toy before lighting it on fire for the first time.

If you’re new to flow arts, we also recommend getting a daytime practice prop (or even LED prop) since you might be dropping your flow toy a lot when you’re first learning. The Kevlar on fire props can deteriorate much more quickly from repetitive drops, so practice props are ideal to keep them safe.

We have fire, LED, and daytime versions of most of our main props. Even if you can only afford one version and end up starting with a fire prop, they can be protected with wick covers. No matter what type you have, we recommend practicing on soft ground like grass to protect them as much as possible.

After you read the fire safety guide linked above and before lighting up you fire tool, please also read through our safety disclaimer.

We ship our products Monday-Friday from Los Angeles, CA, USA. Many of our listed products are ready-to-ship unless we have to assemble them, which can add a day or two to process. That being said, we ship out orders in the order they are placed within 1-2 business days (with some exceptions like holiday seasons).

Once shipped, we use USPS for orders in the USA and usually UPS for all international orders. Ground shipping in the US usually takes about 3-5 business days from shipping date, while priority shipping can be between 1-3 business days from shipping date. These are estimations and not guarantees as USPS might have delays, but reach out to us if you are looking for more specific time frames!

We can’t promise any specific shipping timeframes for international delivery as customs can cause many unforeseen delays.

Of course! We’re just a text, email, or DM away from being able to answer any question you have. All of our contact details can be found here or you can scroll down to find the buttons in our footer. We’re active on social media too so we are pretty easy to get a hold of!

Dragon staffs are staffs with shorter rods, called spokes, attached on each end. These rods often have kevlar wick or LEDs attached and come in sets of 3 or 4 per side. They were inspired by Fei Cha, an ancient Chinese martial arts weapon, and originally produced by Gora.

These staffs are different from regular staffs and can be a fun challenge for flow artists. They are heavier than regular contact staffs because of the added spokes. Because of this, carbon fiber has become a popular option for dragon staffs because it can’t get bent like aluminum and is lighter. That being said, collapsible aluminum staffs are not realistically going to bend either, they are just slightly heavier.

Dragons generally are meant to keep rolling, in comparison to contact staffs that can be kept more static during flow sessions. Heavier staffs do well for slower flow styles and meditative flows, whereas lighter staffs do well for quick direction changes and faster styles of flow.
