The Threeworlds Fusion Collapsible Fire & LED Spin Staff Kit gives you two complete spinning configurations with one modular handle. Switch between Kevlar fire wicks and illuminated polycarbonate LED ends in seconds using Threeworlds’ patented Fusion pressure-fit connection system.

Designed specifically for traditional hand-based staff spinning, this lightweight, three-piece staff features a durable 7075 aluminum handle with F-Grip and interchangeable fire and LED ends. Whether you’re practicing with fire or lighting up a nighttime performance, the Fusion Spin system makes switching configurations quick and convenient.

Two Staff Configurations, One Handle

This kit includes everything needed to assemble either a Fire Spin Staff or an LED Spin Staff using the same central handle.

  • Fire Configuration: Two aluminum fire ends featuring 4 inch (100 mm) Kevlar wicks designed for repeated burns with proper fueling and maintenance.
  • LED Configuration: Two full polycarbonate LED ends illuminated by rechargeable Lumi LED Light Units. Enjoy vibrant lighting effects, multiple modes, and convenient USB-C charging without disposable batteries.

Simply twist to release the Fusion connectors, swap the ends, and tighten them securely to switch between configurations. Both assembled staffs measure 55 inch (140 cm).

Key Features

  • Fire & LED Versatility: Includes two fire ends and two LED ends, allowing you to switch between configurations without purchasing another handle.
  • Three-Piece Collapsible Design: Each assembled configuration consists of one central handle and two removable ends for convenient transportation and storage.
  • Fusion Pressure-Fit Connectors: Patented expanding compression locks provide a secure, wobble-resistant connection. Simply twist to tighten or release.
  • F-Grip Handle: The central handle features textured F-Grip rubber tubing for reliable traction, including in sweaty or humid conditions.
  • 7075 Aluminum Construction: High-strength aluminum provides a durable foundation while maintaining a responsive feel during spinning.
  • Durable Fire Wicks: Each fire end features a 4 inch (100 mm) Kevlar wick designed for repeated use with proper care.
  • Full Polycarbonate LED Ends: Translucent polycarbonate tubing distributes light throughout the ends for vibrant visual effects.
  • Rechargeable Lumi LED Light Units: Two included light units provide colorful illumination with convenient USB-C charging.
  • Travel Friendly: The modular design makes it easy to pack your staff and both sets of ends for festivals, performances, and practice sessions.

Designed for Spinning, Not Contact Rolling

The Fusion Spin Staff is designed specifically for traditional hand-based spinning, including figure eights, isolations, and other rotational movements. Its construction prioritizes a lightweight, responsive feel rather than the weight distribution and continuous grip typically preferred for contact staff techniques.

The central handle features F-Grip tubing, while both the fire and LED ends remain ungripped. This design is intended for hand-based spinning rather than rolling the staff across your arms, shoulders, neck, or other parts of the body.

If your focus is contact spinning, we recommend choosing a dedicated contact staff instead.

Modular Fusion Spin System

Threeworlds’ Fusion Spin system allows you to change between fire and LED configurations using the same handle. The patented expanding pressure-fit connectors provide a secure connection while allowing the staff to be disassembled quickly without tools.

Important Compatibility Note: Fusion Spin components use their own dedicated modular system. The Fusion Spin Handle is compatible only with Fusion Spin Fire Ends and Fusion Spin LED Ends. It is not interchangeable with standard Fusion Contact Staff ends, dragon staff components, or other Threeworlds Fusion accessories.

For instructions on securing and releasing the connectors, see our Fusion Pressure-Fit Connector Guide.

Fire Safety & Maintenance

Fire spinning involves inherent risks and requires proper training, safety equipment, and precautions. Always inspect your staff, Fusion connectors, and Kevlar wicks before use. Ensure all connections are securely tightened, and never spin fire without appropriate safety measures in place.

Before lighting up, please review our Safety Disclaimer, Fire Safety for Flow Arts Guide, and Fire Prop Maintenance Guide for important safety information and care instructions.

Flow toys are props and tools used in flow arts, which is a movement based art-form that involves object manipulation. Flow props are extensions of your body and tools for self expression.

Despite being called “toys”, flow toys are meant for everyone and you will find that a majority of flow artists are actually adults! Contemporary flow arts include many modalities like dance, martial arts, or just “free-flow.”

The best flow toy to start with is the one that you’re most excited to learn. Although some props might be more difficult to learn than others, this differs greatly from one person to another. We found that the more excited you are to learn a specific prop, the more likely you will be to practice and learn quickly.

Stick props like dragon staff, contact staff, or spin staff can be easier for some since its a more static prop that you can hold onto. Rope props like poi and rope dart require more plane control at the beginning but are also much easier to travel with. Others like flow stars and pixel whips have their own kind of movements that don’t really fall into the other two categories we mentioned. But they’re super popular for ravers and festival goers!

We have a feeling you’ll end up owning more than one type of prop though so regardless of what your friend thinks is the best flow toy to start with, just get whatever you’re most excited to learn!

Fire dancing carries some inherent risks, but if you follow all of our fire safety instructions the risks are very avoidable. We recommend feeling super comfortable with a flow toy before lighting it on fire for the first time.

If you’re new to flow arts, we also recommend getting a daytime practice prop (or even LED prop) since you might be dropping your flow toy a lot when you’re first learning. The Kevlar on fire props can deteriorate much more quickly from repetitive drops, so practice props are ideal to keep them safe.

We have fire, LED, and daytime versions of most of our main props. Even if you can only afford one version and end up starting with a fire prop, they can be protected with wick covers. No matter what type you have, we recommend practicing on soft ground like grass to protect them as much as possible.

After you read the fire safety guide linked above and before lighting up you fire tool, please also read through our safety disclaimer.

We ship our products Monday-Friday from Los Angeles, CA, USA. Many of our listed products are ready-to-ship unless we have to assemble them, which can add a day or two to process. That being said, we ship out orders in the order they are placed within 1-2 business days (with some exceptions like holiday seasons).

Once shipped, we use USPS for orders in the USA and usually UPS for all international orders. Ground shipping in the US usually takes about 3-5 business days from shipping date, while priority shipping can be between 1-3 business days from shipping date. We can’t promise any specific shipping timeframes for international delivery as customs can cause many unforeseen delays.

Contact staffs are a unique type of flow prop designed for dynamic movements and intricate body rolls. Unlike traditional staffs that are primarily held in the hands, contact staffs are designed to maintain contact with the body, rolling smoothly across the arms, shoulders, back, and neck. They typically should be be sized for chin height. The added end weight allows for better center point balance and stability during rolls. Contact staffs are one of the most popular tools used in both fire and LED performances.

Other kinds of staffs include spin and double staffs. Spin staffs are not as heavily weighted as contact staffs, so they can be spun much more quickly. This is popular for more martial arts styles of movement where contact manipulation isn’t used as much. Double staffs are shorter than spin and contact staffs. Because of two tools being used, it allows for more complex patterns of spinning as well as geometric shapes that can be created.
