Juggle Dream Fabric Sock Poi are soft, packable practice poi with the classic flowing feel that makes sock poi such a fun and approachable style to spin. Each pair comes ready to use with soft 2.56 inch (65 mm) weighted balls installed, providing enough weight for satisfying momentum without making every missed trick feel like a personal attack.

The teardrop-shaped fabric bodies are made from a semi-stretchy synthetic material that moves comfortably around the hands and body. They’re great for beginners learning their first patterns, experienced spinners exploring wraps and flowing movements, or anyone looking for an easy pair of poi to throw in a bag and take just about anywhere.

Soft Weighted Heads for Comfortable Practice

Each sock comes with a soft 3.92 oz (111 g) weighted ball installed. Unlike hard contact poi heads, the soft construction is much more forgiving when a new trick ends with the poi somewhere you did not intend it to go.

We like the included weight for the overall balance and momentum of these poi, but the balls aren’t permanently trapped inside. A small opening in the side of each sock gives you access to the head so you can remove or replace the weight if you want to experiment with a different setup.

Classic Sock Poi Feel

The semi-stretchy fabric acts as both the body and tether of the poi, creating a fluid feel without a separate rope or cord. The fabric has enough give for comfortable spinning while maintaining the characteristic responsiveness of fabric sock poi.

At approximately 21.75 inch (55.2 cm) long when laid flat, they offer a versatile starting length for a wide range of spinners and techniques.

If you’re unsure how your poi should fit your body, check out our Poi Length Guide.

Add Poi Knobs

The end of each sock can also be paired with PX3 Poi Knobs if you prefer a more substantial handle. Knobs can provide a more defined grip point while opening up additional handling possibilities compared with holding the fabric directly.

Pack Them Just About Anywhere

One of the biggest advantages of fabric poi is how little space they take up. The flexible sock bodies roll or fold down easily, making them a convenient option for festivals, travel, indoor practice, or keeping a spare pair in your bag when bringing a larger prop isn’t practical.

Five Designs

Choose from Black & Rainbow Zebra with fading rainbow zebra-style stripes over a black background, Black & White Stripe with alternating horizontal stripes, Rainbow Stripe with soft pastel rainbow bands, an abstract Tie Dye explosion pattern, or Solid White.

The Solid White version also gives you a blank light-diffusing sock for building an LED setup with compatible light-up juggling balls such as the Wes Peden Signature Glow.0 Juggling Balls. Just swap out the included weighted balls and let the socks get considerably less subtle.

Flow toys are props and tools used in flow arts, which is a movement based art-form that involves object manipulation. Flow props are extensions of your body and tools for self expression.

Despite being called “toys”, flow toys are meant for everyone and you will find that a majority of flow artists are actually adults! Contemporary flow arts include many modalities like dance, martial arts, or just “free-flow.”

The best flow toy to start with is the one that you’re most excited to learn. Although some props might be more difficult to learn than others, this differs greatly from one person to another. We found that the more excited you are to learn a specific prop, the more likely you will be to practice and learn quickly.

Stick props like dragon staff, contact staff, or spin staff can be easier for some since its a more static prop that you can hold onto. Rope props like poi and rope dart require more plane control at the beginning but are also much easier to travel with. Others like flow stars and pixel whips have their own kind of movements that don’t really fall into the other two categories we mentioned. But they’re super popular for ravers and festival goers!

We have a feeling you’ll end up owning more than one type of prop though so regardless of what your friend thinks is the best flow toy to start with, just get whatever you’re most excited to learn!

Fire dancing carries some inherent risks, but if you follow all of our fire safety instructions the risks are very avoidable. We recommend feeling super comfortable with a flow toy before lighting it on fire for the first time.

If you’re new to flow arts, we also recommend getting a daytime practice prop (or even LED prop) since you might be dropping your flow toy a lot when you’re first learning. The Kevlar on fire props can deteriorate much more quickly from repetitive drops, so practice props are ideal to keep them safe.

We have fire, LED, and daytime versions of most of our main props. Even if you can only afford one version and end up starting with a fire prop, they can be protected with wick covers. No matter what type you have, we recommend practicing on soft ground like grass to protect them as much as possible.

After you read the fire safety guide linked above and before lighting up you fire tool, please also read through our safety disclaimer.

We ship our products Monday-Friday from Los Angeles, CA, USA. Many of our listed products are ready-to-ship unless we have to assemble them, which can add a day or two to process. That being said, we ship out orders in the order they are placed within 1-2 business days (with some exceptions like holiday seasons).

Once shipped, we use USPS for orders in the USA and usually UPS for all international orders. Ground shipping in the US usually takes about 3-5 business days from shipping date, while priority shipping can be between 1-3 business days from shipping date. These are estimations and not guarantees as USPS might have delays, but reach out to us if you are looking for more specific time frames!

We can’t promise any specific shipping timeframes for international delivery as customs can cause many unforeseen delays.

Of course! We’re just a text, email, or DM away from being able to answer any question you have. All of our contact details can be found here or you can scroll down to find the buttons in our footer. We’re active on social media too so we are pretty easy to get a hold of!

Poi are one of the most popular flow props in the world, consisting of weights attached to tethers that are swung rhythmically. They are usually used in sets of two, although three or more can be used for more complex spinning or juggling styles of poi flow. They come in a wide range of styles, from simple sock poi for beginners to elaborate fire and LED poi for experienced performers.

Poi spinning involves swinging the heads in various directions and timing, creating complex geometric shapes. The most common combinations are Same Direction Same Timing, Opposite Direction Same Timing, Same Direction Different Timing, Opposite Direction Different Timing.

Contact poi are a common style of poi nowadays, because the weighting allows for cleaner stalls and tosses. Other common types are glowstick style, snake poi, and stingers. Fabric poi are generally recommended for complete beginners because they don’t hurt as much when you hit yourself during the learning phase.
