Choose Your Dragon Staff Heads
Original: The classic Flowbonacci design. Its spiral shape creates a mesmerizing visual effect while maintaining a balanced weight for everyday dragon staff flow. Made from durable recycled plastic and built to handle plenty of drops along the way.
Vortex: The heaviest Flowbonacci option we carry. Its disc-and-spiral shape increases rotational inertia and gyroscopic stability while creating a continuous vortex effect as the staff spins. Made from durable recycled plastic.
Tri-Ying: The original Tri-Ying design and predecessor to the newer Legacy model. We currently have a limited amount of remaining backstock available while supplies last.
Tri-Ying Legacy: The newest evolution of the Tri-Ying, developed through a year-long collaboration between Flowbonacci founder and engineer Fabio and a professional designer. Its curves, volume, and surfaces were refined to increase rotational inertia, gyroscopic stability, and the floating visual effect dragon staffs are known for.
The sculpted Legacy design is intended to feel approachable for newer dragon staff spinners while retaining the performance characteristics experienced artists look for. It is also particularly well suited to freewheel and ground-rolling practice.
Designed Specifically for Dragon Staff
Flowbonacci heads aren’t just decorative shapes attached to the end of a staff. Their weight and geometry are designed around dragon staff movement, where rotational inertia and gyroscopic stability play a major role in how the prop rolls and maintains momentum.
The different head designs allow you to change both the visual appearance and rotational feel of your Flowbonacci setup. The Vortex is the heaviest option, while the Original and Tri-Ying designs provide a lighter alternative.
Distinctive Daytime Visuals
The sculpted shapes create visible patterns and optical effects as the staff rotates, giving you a strong visual presence without fire or LEDs. Each design produces its own characteristic look in motion, from the Original’s spiral to the broader Vortex and sculpted Tri-Ying shapes.
Made to Take Drops
Dragon staffs get dropped. A lot. Flowbonacci heads are designed as durable practice and performance components that can handle the realities of learning rolls, transitions, freewheeling, and other dragon staff techniques.
Flowbonacci backs its dragon staff heads with a lifetime warranty against breakage.
Flowbonacci Plug Hub Compatibility
These heads are designed specifically for Flowbonacci Plug Hubs and are not compatible with other dragon staff hub systems. The appropriate Flowbonacci screw set is required to attach the heads to the Plug Hubs.
If you’re building a complete setup, these are the same style of interchangeable heads used with the Flowbonacci Collapsible Dragon Staff.
Recycled Plastic Construction
All Flowbonacci Dragon Staff Heads are made from durable recycled plastic. Slight variations in color and appearance are normal due to the recycled material, giving individual sets a little character of their own. Tri-Ying Legacy heads generally have the least color variation, with a more consistent solid-color appearance.
