About Juggling

Juggling is one of the oldest flow arts modalities in the world. It has been around for centuries in different forms and has evolved quite a bit in the flow arts scene. Juggling balls are the most common juggling prop and come in different styles and weights. Beanbag balls are a great place for beginners to start as they are durable and comfortable to practice with. Juggling clubs are used similarly but are more advanced because they have to be caught on specific parts of the tool. Contact stage balls are designed to roll smoothly across your body. They can also be used in toss juggling, but are generally larger and meant for more illusions and rolls.

In addition to these, we have devil sticks, which are a fun and challenging prop that you manipulate with handsticks. These are also called flower sticks when flowers are attached to them, which makes them easier to control. Diabolos are spinning tops that you control with two control sticks attached to a string.

Juggling is good exercise and can help you improve your coordination, focus, and timing. Studies have shown it can increase coordination and focus, while also improving the ability to read, write, and reason.

Nowadays, many flow props can be juggled outside of traditional flow props. This includes staffs, sticks, rings, poi, hoops, and just about anything you have more than one of!
